Added this topic in. Current list below:

1. Effective teaching of advanced spacegroup theory and symmetry
2. Modern methods of teaching of crystallographic fundamentals
3. Computer methods that teach crystallography and not obscure it
4. Methods for teaching practical protein crystallography
5. Methods for teaching practical powder diffraction
6. Methods for teaching practical single crystal methods
7. Teaching incommensute methods
8. Teaching quasicrystal crystallography
9. Creation of a library of video presentation of basic
   crystallographic topics

=============

As an aside from Gervais addition - am looking into the local purchase of
a PC/DVD-writer combination with a Camcorder that could allow Geology
field trips (and noting equipment and servicing - microprobe, mass spec,
microprobe, etc) to be easily recorded and converted into DVDs (have the
advantage on being readable on moderns PCs - and random access - so low
activation energy for people to use - plus possible to make internet
available mpg or avi versions.)

Supposedly the new range of Sony Vaio Laptops interlink with
"the appropraite) Sony Camcorders to allow easy conversion of
camcorder movies to DVD (as well as MPG movies).

    PCG-GRZ660 - 7.5 lbs and 15.0" Monitor - around $1,900
(with internet CD and DVD writer)
DVD-RW/CD-RW with Sony Click to DVD software

(It looks like a laptop is more desirable for the person who wants to
be the main user of this)

This looks like a developing field - so possibly easy to make
a wrong choice. Time will tell.
