Multimedia presentation software.
Web plugins for their software.
Anything else?

I did not realise that were that great.
Their impact seems to have gone down for web applications 
as their software plugins were too bloated and slow.
 (just my opinion)

I am not sure if their high(?)status is more hype than
reality(?).
