I am very reluctant about this Docster idea, not because of copy right but for
security reasons. Any IT manager with a minimum sense will never authorize a software
such as Napster to run on its network because it is a door widely opened to piracy
into individual machines. The simple idea, on the paper, to let others share files on
your own computer, is frightening especially on Windows and MacOS systems where the
security does not exist. Thus the only acceptable solution would be to put all the
documents to be shared on a special machine in the so-called demilitarized area. Then
I do not see any difference with a number of suggestions to establish univeristy web
servers where papers would be posted.
