The image CIF dictionary (imgCIF) is a CIF dictionary of data names required by the Crystallographic Binary File (CBF) image representation project. imgCIF/CBF is an initiative to extend the IUCr CIF concept to cover efficient storage of 2-D area detector data and other large datasets. Thanks to Paul Ellis, we are pleased to announce the availability of an updated imgCIF/CBF API, CBFlib_0.7.3, in which cbf_simple.c has been modified to reorder data on read so that indices are always increasing in memory. We recommend use of this API in place of any older imgCIF/CBF CBFlib APIs. See http://www.bernstein-plus-sons.com/software/CBF/ Comments and suggestions about the API should be sent to: Paul Ellis (ellis@SLAC.Stanford.EDU) or Herbert J.
